Hi all and welcome,

My name is Maryanne and I am the face behind Foxglove and Ivy, your local Bacchus Marsh Florist and Micro flower farm. I am Head gardener, Seed starter, Plant propagater, Farm Manager, Floral designer, Delivery driver, Irrigation fixer, Accountant, Chicken and Dog slave and everything else in between. I have to be a bit of an expert in all things here on our flower farm, well at least I try to be.

In all seriousness I am the very proud owner of our small flower farm here in Bacchus Marsh and I love what I get to do every day.

A bit about me, I am a Wife, Mother to 2 beautiful children and now Nanny to two special little girls who I absolutely cherish. I am a devoted doggy mum to 3 gorgeous Boxers Piper, Maggie and Django. I spend most days rising at the crack of dawn waiting for the first glimpse of light to peak through so I can get outside, usually with coffee in hand. I grab the dogs and do a quick stroll around the farm before letting the chickens out of their coop to free range around the property. Depending on the season I am either then harvesting flowers for daily orders or could be doing some farm chores which could be anything from seed starting, plant propagation, bed prep or fertilising the flowers. Two days a week I also have an off farm job which I also love.

People ask me what my favourite flower is and there is no way I could just pick one, I do however have a soft spot for the beautiful Spring blooms which indulge beautiful frilly Ranunculus, Stunning Speicalty daffodils and Tulips and a new one for us last year was Delphinium, absolutely Stunning!

I love getting my hands in the soil and although the farm work can be quite strenuous it’s a great workout and I don’t need to go to the gym!
